Helen Faye Hudson, age 91 of Sand Springs, passed from this life Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Sand Springs.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m., November 30, 2019 at Mobley-Groesbeck Chapel with Reverend Blake Canterbury officiating. Helen will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Helen was born on April 8, 1928 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Roger and Mary (Penasso) Hayes. She graduated from Henryetta high school and married Russell Hudson on April 24, 1979 in Miami, Oklahoma. Helen started working for Southwestern Bell as a Telephone Operator and later worked in Data Processing. She retired in 1985 with over thirty-five years of service. Helen had memberships with the Telephone Pioneers, Scottish Rites Ladies Association and the Elks Ladies Association. She was a longtime member of the Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs.
She is survived by her husband Russell Hudson of the home; a daughter, Karen Friend and husband Bobby of Seminole; a son, Kevin Johnson and wife Mary of Owasso; three grandchildren, Jason Friend and wife Tonya of Seminole, Brian Friend and wife Aimee of Seminole and Leslie Johnson of Owasso. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eva Turnbull.
