Alan Wayne Tennison, 59, went home to be his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at his residence in Jay, OK. He was born on September 7, 1960 in Claremore, OK to his parents, Thomas George Tennison and Ollie Mae Bellum-Tennison. Alan’s love for his wife Linda and his fur baby Daisy were deeply important to his heart and soul. He told Linda that she was his heart. As for Daisy he never left home without her. When you would see Alan out and about, you would see Daisy right along with him. He loved her very much. Alan was passionate about Nascar and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. # 3, the Terminator. He was an avid fan and a collector of Dale’s Nascar Hot Wheels. He loved to go to Flea Markets and was known as the socializer with his family and friends. His faith in the Lord was very strong and he was a member of Piney Baptist Church, Jay, OK. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ollie Tennison. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Tennison of Jay, OK; their precious fur baby, Daisy of Jay, OK; 5 siblings, Jacqueline Clark of Miami, OK, Tony Tennison of Jay, OK, Billie Jean O’Field and husband Donnie of Jay, OK, Karen Tennison of Grove, OK, Nysa Pigeon and husband Jay of Salina, OK; brother-in-law, Roberto Madina and wife Rosie of Mexico; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Alan’s Wake Service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 6:00pm with family visitation to greet friends until 8:00pm at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346. Alan’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, Piney Baptist Church, 15630 E 450 Rd., Jay, OK with Pastor Junior Jones officiating. Burial will be held at Jumper Cemetery, Jay, OK. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J.
